Scientific meeting is a continuation of a previous one-day meeting held in Zagreb, at the Ruder Boskovic Institute, three years ago. This meeting aims to bring together all professional astronomers and astrophysicists or scientists actively involved in space research, primarily in Croatia, as well as our colleagues from abroad. The meeting will take place on-site, with a possibility of online participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>2nd HAD scientific meeting is organised at the Faculty of Physics, Radmile Matej\u010di\u0107 2, Rijeka. Lectures will take place at the lecture hall &#8216;Branimir Markovi\u0107&#8217; (029), accessed directly from the building\u2019s main hall after the main entrance. Keep in mind that the building is called \u2018Sveu\u010dili\u0161ni odjeli\u2019 (University departments). Please consult the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/phy.uniri.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Map_2HADmeeting-1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"911\" height=\"425\" src=\"https:\/\/phy.uniri.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Map_2HADmeeting-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/phy.uniri.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Map_2HADmeeting-1.jpg 911w, https:\/\/phy.uniri.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Map_2HADmeeting-1-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/phy.uniri.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Map_2HADmeeting-1-768x358.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 911px) 100vw, 911px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accommodation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The organizer can provide limited accommodation in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scri.uniri.hr\/smjestaj\/smjestaj-gostiju\">the private apartments at the University campus Trsat<\/a>, subject to availability, mainly for PhD students and postdocs. Apartment for accommodation of one person costs 30.5 euros, while for two persons 39.8 euros. The price does not include VAT and touristic tax. Apartments are situated 300 m (4 minutes walk) from the meeting venue. All apartments have private bathrooms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also possibility for accommodation at the nearby&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dharmahostels.com\/\">hostel Dharma<\/a>, subject to availability. Dharma hostel is situated in the beautiful surroundings at Pecine district, nearby sea and beaches, 10 minutes drive from the meeting venue, at 30 minutes walking distance (2.2 km). Accommodation is possible in single, double and triple rooms, but be aware that only two single rooms are available. All rooms have private bathroom. The prices are per night per room, and include all the taxes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>single room 40 EUR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>double room 56 EUR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>triple room 75 EUR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Breakfast costs 5 EUR extra. Parking place is also provided. Please note that we do not manage bookings and reservations for the hostel, but will forward your request to the accommodation. For more information on lunches and coffee breaks, please consult the e-mail all registered participants received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Garage of the Faculty of Civil Engineering (Gra\u0111evinski fakultet) can be used for parking and will be open for free entrance on Monday, 25th November and on Tuesday, 26th November at designated times. For opening times for free entrance, please consult the e-mail all registered participants received. Exit is possible at any time.<br>There are also many parking possibilities around the venue, on the street. There is also a large parking lot north of the campus &#8211; please consult the map above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online talks and online participation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For participants abroad that registered and requested online participation, we will provide online participation through the Zoom, including remote online talks.
