In line with the mission, vision, and goals of the Faculty of Physics as defined in the Strategic Development Plan of the Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka 2021–2025, the following is established:
QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY
The Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka, is actively committed to developing a culture of quality through:
- improving the quality assurance system (QAS) at the Faculty of Physics (FIZRI), based on university criteria, i.e. European and national standards and guidelines for quality assurance, which will contribute to the acquisition of student competencies in accordance with the needs of society
- actively involving all FIZRI employees in the QAS, including management, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and external associates
- encouraging scientific output and developing study programs based on innovative scientific research conducted by FIZRI staff, in line with the principles of the Croatian Qualifications Framework (CQF), thereby contributing to the active role of FIZRI in the development of the local economy and the community in which it operates
- ensuring transparency in operations and responsible management, as well as creating a stimulating environment for scientific work, learning, and teaching at FIZRI
- continuously monitoring quality indicators of work and, accordingly, periodically revising the policy, objectives, and procedures of quality assurance at FIZRI.

The objective of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement System of the Faculty of Physics is defined in the Regulations on the Quality Assurance and Enhancement System of the Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka as follows:
The objective of the Faculty’s Quality System, which is based on standards, policies, and practices within the European Higher Education and Research Area, is to establish a comprehensive management approach to ensure and enhance quality. This approach guarantees high quality, consistency, and transparency in all areas of activity, improves stakeholder satisfaction, and enhances efficiency.
By decision of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka, to adopt the Quality Assurance Handbook of the University of Rijeka, the said handbook is also used as the Quality Assurance Handbook at the Faculty of Physics. In doing so, the Faculty of Physics has adopted the University of Rijeka’s quality policy as its own, thereby actively committing itself to developing a culture of quality.
